Kelli is a senior advisor with the Suncor Energy Foundation, where she is responsible for the foundation’s community resilience funding priority, and for helping to build the capacity needed to address complex issues – in and outside of Suncor Energy. Kelli’s previous work includes leadership of a collective impact project focused on youth gang prevention, support for the Institute for Community Prosperity and Trico Changemakers Studio at Mount Royal University, and corporate communications and strategic issues management. She originally comes from a small town in northern Alberta, which was a big influence on her ongoing commitment to volunteerism.
Kelli is a Network Weaver because…
Ultimately, I believe that solutions to societal issues will only be found when people work across sectors and silos, doing their best to understand where other perspectives are coming from. I would like to help strengthen the connections between various groups that we fund (or could fund) in relation to strengthening the social profit sector. In addition, Suncor relies on the Suncor Energy Foundation to help build social innovation capacity among its employees; ABSI can hopefully support the goals that the Foundation has for long-term change.
