Jordana worked with her first social venture in 2012 and has since believed that blended value organizations will be a key (but not the only!) driver in the social change required for a more just, equitable and sustainable world. In her day job, she supports 60+ incredible researchers and entrepreneurs at UCalgary to take their ideas from evidence to action--in areas ranging from early childhood development to agriculture. Jordana launched IC’s first social venture programs, the RBC Social Enterprise Accelerator and CATALYZE. This year’s program serves 17 students and projects across three streams: social venture, social finance, and social innovation. Passionate about economic empowerment and education, you might find her supporting organizations like Artistri Sud and FrogskinU in her spare time. Otherwise, you’ll find her on an adventure to a new place.

Jordana is a Network Weaver because…

I hope to develop a better understanding of what’s happening outside the Calgary bubble regarding leading practices, awesome programs & services… both to learn from but also for innovators we work with to connect into.

I’m also very curious to learn how other groups communicate social innovation among their communities, and galvanize interest among youth.

I would love to spend some time digging in to tangible ways to work together, connect networks, and move into some shared actions.
