Alberta Resilient Communities is a 3-year research project funded by Alberta Innovates Health Solutions and focused on understanding and strengthening child and youth resilience and youth citizen engagement in disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and resilience in Alberta. Youth from Calgary, High River, and the Foothill regions have designed innovative projects that address disaster and climate change-related problems relevant to their communities. They have been focused on building passionate ‘pitches’ related to their projects, in hopes of refining their stories, their challenges, and their proposed solutions.
